Caribbean reef squid - sepioteuthis sepiodea. Squid communicate by controlling the pigment in their skin. Messages such as readiness to mate, sexual identification, and alarm are flashed through various colorful spots, blotches, and background color. Oblong mantle bordered by translucent fin forming a point at the rear. Frequently change colors and patterns brown to white often with blue or green highlights.
