Apamate Oak Tree - tabebuia rosea

The Apamate Oak tree is native to Panama and many other Central American countries. The Spanish name is Roble Morado and the scientific name is tabebuia rosea. It has over 100 common names and grows in Europe as well as in tropical countries. It has beautiful large pink flowers with gold centers. When in bloom it is covered in these gorgeous purplish pink flowers. A large tree it can grow to be 100 feet tall and 40 inches in diameter. Location: On the road to El Valle, Panama. March 21, 2020.
